It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
What You've Learned
Each PowerBook model has different Take Apart procedures that are explained in detail in that model's service manual. The information presented in this lesson applies to the PowerBook G4 (15-inch 1.67/1.5GHz).
Gaining access to a particular component often requires the removal of other components first.
Whenever you work on the internal components of a PowerBook, it's imperative to follow proper ESD procedures.
You must unplug the power adapter and remove the battery to prevent the PowerBook from turning on during the Take Apart procedure.
Use a nylon probe tool to prevent accidental damage to internal PowerBook components.
Always exercise care and do not exert too much pressure when disassembling the PowerBook as internal components ...
