So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
What You've Learned
Each iBook model has different Take Apart procedures that are explained in detail in that model's service manual. The information presented in this chapter applies to the iBook G4 (12-inch late 2004).
Gaining access to a particular component often requires the removal of other components first.
Whenever you work on the internal components of an iBook, it's imperative that you follow proper ESD procedures.
You must unplug the power adapter and remove the battery to prevent the iBook from turning on during the Take Apart procedure.
Some parts—such as the rubber feet on the bottom of the iBook—must be replaced, not reused, when you reassemble the computer.
