What You've Learned
Each Power Mac G5 model has different Take Apart procedures that are explained in detail in that model's service manual. The information presented in this chapter applies to the Power Mac G5 (late 2004).
Gaining access to a particular component often requires the removal of other components first.
Accessing almost all of the Power Mac G5 components requires opening the right side access panel.
Whenever you work on the internal components of a Power Mac G5, it's imperative to follow proper ESD procedures.
You must unplug the AC power cord to prevent the Power Mac G5 from turning on during the Take Apart procedure.
