ネットワーク階層とセンサー
コンピュータネットワークは階層（レイヤ）構造で設計されている。個々の階層は、個々のネット
ワーク機能を抽象化したもので、機構や実装の詳細を隠蔽している。理想的には、個々のレイヤが
完全に独立していて、ある階層の実装を別の実装に交換しても上位の階層に影響を与えないことが
望ましい。例えば、インターネットプロトコル（IP）はOSIモデルのレイヤ3 に当たるが、IP実装は、
イーサネットやFDDIなどのさまざまなレイヤ2 プロトコル上で、全く同様に動作する。
さまざまな階層モデルが提案されている。最も一般的に使われるモデルは、OSIの7 階層モデルと
TCP/IPの4 階層モデルである。図2-1に
この2つのモデル、代表的なプロトコル、1章で定義したセ
ンサー種別との関係を示す。図2-1に示すように、OSIモデルとTCP/IPモデルはほぼ対応している。
OSIでは以下の7階層を使う。
