QNetworkConfiguration holds, as mentioned earlier, information about an access point. With name(), you get the user-visible name for a configuration, and with identifier(), you get a unique, system-specific identifier. If you develop games for mobile devices, it may be of advantage to you to know which type of connection is being used. This might influence the data that you request; for example, the quality and thus, the size of a video. With bearerType(), the type of bearer used by a configuration is returned.
