Emerging Wisdom
One can consider wisdom as ‘‘knowledge applied well.’’ With
respect to using social media in organizations, we’d like to propose
that wisdom consists of the appropriate integration of processes
and practices—the comingling of just the right quantities of all
the ingredients we have talked about in this chapter, creating
magic in terms of widespread adoption of social media within
your organization.
We can’t emphasize strongly enough that there will be differ-
ences in how and to what degree social media is implemented in
