It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Romantic Style
A BRIDGE OVER CHANGING MUSIC
Instead of being a movement in and of itself, the Romantic style of modern music really represents the transition between bona fide Romantic music and the true eclecticism of modern music.
Arnold Schoenberg is considered the largest contributor to this evolution (see “Arnold Schoenberg,” page 60). His Verklärte Nacht (Transfigured Night) of 1899 was the first piece of programmatic music written for a chamber music ensemble—specifically a string sextet with two violins, two violas, and two cellos.
