It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

When it comes to music, the Renaissance really consists of three different time periods: early, middle, and late. Because so much happened in those 200 years, with developments in all aspects of music, we’ll start by examining the period as a whole, followed by notations, instruments, and then the time periods on pages 58, 68, and 78.
