When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Recording a WMA File
To get started with Sound Recorder, type sound in the Start screen and then click Sound Recorder in the search results. When you’re ready to begin recording, here are the steps to follow:
1. With your microphone ready, click the Start Recording button.
2. Speak (yell, sing, whatever) into the microphone. Sound Recorder shows you the length of the file as you record.
3. When you’re done, click the Stop Recording button. Sound Recorder pauses the recording and displays the Save As dialog box.
4. If you’re not done with your recording, click Cancel, click Resume Recording, and then click Stop Recording again.
5. Select a location, type a filename, and then click Save.
