When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Editing Advanced Settings for a DOS Application
If you’re experiencing difficulties while running a specific DOS program, find the program file or a shortcut to it. Right-click it and choose Properties.

On 32-bit versions of Windows 8, the first time you try to run a 16-bit DOS or Windows 3.1 program, Windows will prompt you to enable the 16-bit subsystem. There is also a control panel applet that lets you turn the subsystem on or off. Search Control Panel for “16-bit Application Support.” The registry value that controls the subsystem is DisallowedPolicyDefault, in key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\WOW.
