When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Selecting Updates to Install
If you configured Windows 8 to not download and install updates automatically, you can choose which updates to apply to your system. Note that, depending on your current Windows Update settings, you’ll be choosing either which updates to both download and install or which updates just to install.
Here are the steps to follow to select the updates you want to install:
1. Press Windows Logo+X and then click Control Panel. The Control Panel window appears.
2. Select System and Security, Windows Update. (If you’re viewing Control Panel using icons instead of categories, just click Windows Update directly.) The Windows Update window appears.
3. If you have important updates, click the X Important Updates Are Available ...
