If, after serious consideration of all of the preceding questions you decide to resign in the best interests of all concerned, how should you go about it? Here are a few tips on how to resign gracefully.
Resign on a face-to face basis. It is good human relations to go to the person who hired you, as well as to your supervisor, and resign face to face. A letter of resignation or a telephone resignation alone may leave a bad impression that could hurt you later. You will gain the respect of management when you resign in person. You will feel better, too.
