It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Having discussed some of the causes of job satisfaction, we now turn to some specific outcomes.
Job Performance
As a general rule, happy workers are more likely to be productive workers. Some researchers used to believe the relationship between job satisfaction and job performance was a myth, but a review of 300 studies suggested the correlation is quite robust.39 Individuals with higher job satisfaction perform better, and organizations with more satisfied employees tend to be more effective than those with fewer.
