Updates

Google regularly releases updates such as security patches to Cloud SQL instances. Some updates require that the instance be restarted, which should be expected to happen once every few months. When updates require that the instance be restarted, Google performs the restart according to a configurable maintenance window. Teams may choose a one-hour window and day of the week to perform maintenance operations. It is a good idea to set the maintenance window to a time of low activity.
