Trying out the APIs Explorer

Let's give the APIs Explorer a quick try:

  1. Ensure that you've created a project as outlined in Chapter 2, The Google Cloud Console.
  2. Visit https://developers.google.com/apis-explorer.
  3. Search Compute Engine.
  4. Select Compute Engine API (v1).
  5. Find the compute.instances.list method.
  6. Set project to your Google Cloud project ID.
  1. Set zone to any zone, for example, us-central1-a.
  2. Click on Authorize and execute and accept the default scopes.
