Push and pull message delivery
Cloud Pub/Sub supports two methods for message delivery: push subscriptions and pull subscriptions. The delivery method is configured on a per-subscription basis and a subscription may be converted between push and pull at any time. Both push and pull subscriptions offer at-least-once delivery and retain messages for up to 7 days, though there are several key differences between the two.
