Resource types and properties

The resource type defines the kind of resource to be created. At time of writing, Cloud Deployment Manager supports over 140 Google-managed base types natively. These include common compute resources such as VMs, disks, and networks, as well as resources for many other Google products and services such as BigQuery, App Engine, and Pub/Sub.

Many Google Cloud organization resources are supported, such as projects, users, and IAM. This makes it possible to leverage Deployment Manager for automating administrative tasks such as provisioning new environments for teams and adding new members to existing environments.
