Google Cloud Endpoints is an extensive API management platform that provides many of the common features required when serving production APIs. Cloud Endpoints builds upon the Google Service Management API, which provides mechanisms for managing other service APIs. Service Management is used internally by GCP for things like the APIs Explorer, enabling APIs for a given Google Cloud project, and controlling API access via IAM. Cloud Endpoints effectively extends Google's internal API control infrastructure to consumers, allowing deep integration with other GCP services such as Stackdriver monitoring, Stackdriver Logging, and Cloud Trace.
