So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Resource Governor Enhancements
In previous versions of SQL Server, the Resource Governor was limited to managing workloads based on CPU and memory resources. SQL Server 2014 added the ability to manage workloads based on physical I/O. This is a significant enhancement because physical I/O is often the main resource bottleneck in a SQL Server environment. For more information on these new enhancements to Resource Governor, see Chapter 41, “Managing Workloads with the Resource Governor.”
