When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Preprocess the Trace File
The workload file that was captured in the prior steps needs to be prepared before it can be used by the Distributed Replay Clients. This preparation is done using the dreplay.exe with the preprocess option. Preprocessing verifies that the workload file contains the necessary trace events and data to replay the workload, and will also remove any additional trace events that may have been captured that are not needed for the replay.To preprocess the workload file, you first need to copy it to the Controller computer then open up a command prompt window. Run the dreplay.exe application with the preprocess option as shown in the following example:
dreplay preprocess -i "C:\Trace\DReplay_Example.trc" ...
