It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Installing SNAC
This section shows how easy it is to install SNAC, the key net-library for SQL Server.
As mentioned earlier, both the SQL Server 2014 Database Engine and the client tools depend on SNAC11. SNAC is installed when you install the SQL Server connectivity tools, or you can simply launch it on its own from the SQL Server installation media. Keep in mind that SNAC hasn’t changed for SQL Server 2014—the installer’s window title still contains SQL Server 2012. The sqlncli.msi installer is found in several locations on the media, including driveletter:\1033_ENU_LP\x64\Setup\x64. You can just search for the sqlncli.msi to find the location on your media.
