Replay the Trace Data
There are four basic steps required to capture and replay a workload using Distributed Replay:
1. Review and configure permissions/security related to Distributed Replay.
2. Capture a workload that can be processed and applied using the Distributed Replay Components. This is typically a trace file that has been captured using the SQL Server Profiler.
3. Preprocess the trace file from the first step using DReplay.exe with the preprocess option.
4. Apply the workload using DReplay.exe with the replay option.
