Modifying a SQL Server Sysprep Image

Once you’ve created a SQL Server Sysprep image, you can add or remove features from the image without having to drop and recreate it.

To add features to a SQL Server Sysprep image, run the Image preparation of a stand-alone instance of SQL Server on the Advanced page of the Installation Wizard. Step through the screens until you get to the Prepare Image Type page. On that page, select Add features to an existing prepared instance of SQL Server option. Select the specific prepared instance you want to add features to from the drop down list of available prepared instances and click Next to continue.
