So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

SQL Mail has been removed, and for good reason: it was quite capable of crashing the database engine process. You must use Database Mail to send notifications and other kinds of mail messages from SQL Server.
Database Mail is an enterprise-class implementation designed with all the features you’d expect from this next-generation database server, most of which are not available in SQL Mail.
