So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
What’s New in SQL Server AlwaysOn Failover Clustering
Not really much new in this area for SQL Server 2014. The biggest changes came in SQL Server 2012. Much of what’s new for WSFC and SQL Server failover clustering simplifies providing SQL instance-level resilience and is an important part of the high-availability options of AlwaysOn Failover Cluster Instances and participating in AlwaysOn Availability Groups (when also including database-level failover). Chapter 45, “SQL Server AlwaysOn and Availability Groups,” covers the core SQL AlwaysOn and Availability Group features. Other items worth noting include the following:
