So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

SSMS delivers an equally impressive number of features for database developers. Many of the features were available with SQL Server 2008 or added in SQL Server 2012. T-SQL snippets, improved IntelliSense in the Query Editor, and enhanced debugging capabilities are a few of the changes made in SQL Server 2012 that are geared toward developers. These features and the other essential developer tools from SSMS are discussed in the following sections.
