Although most individuals will try to take a rational decision, the reality is that most decisions are bounded by a self-imposed framework. This limiting process can be driven by a number of factors. Time and money problems can make it difficult to ensure that all of the necessary information has been gathered; surface and shadow bias will influence people's ability to see any situation from a clear vantage point; people often make decisions based upon heuristic, or rule of thumb, models; finally, decision making by groups can lead to a form of self-delusion ...
