A built-in user list is a place where we can quickly track the details of a user. The default user list contains a set of built-in columns to show the most basic user info such as username, email, name, and role. In advanced content publishing sites, we need the ability to track how the author has contributed to the content on the site. Some of the content publishing-specific plugins provide additional screens to display these details. However, adding the necessary data to the user list is the simplest way of implementing these without a plugin.
In this recipe, we are going to add a new column to the user list and link it to a new window with post-publishing details of any user.
