How it works...

The default Bulk Actions feature only has Delete as an option. This feature allows you to delete multiple users at once. In this recipe, we needed to add a custom feature to mark users as Staff Members. So, we used the admin_footer action with a callback function called wpccp_chapter5_user_action_buttons.

admin_footer is a built-in action that gets triggered after loading the footer section. This action is only available for admin screens. Usually, this action is used to add HTML, styles, or scripts.

Inside the callback function, we retrieve the current screen using the get_current_screen function. The returned object from this function contains data such as an ID for the admin screen, post type, taxonomy, and so on. We use ...
