How it works...

The backend WordPress profile displays the core fields by default. The default fields are separated into five sections called Personal Options, Name, Contact Info, About Yourself, and Account Management. Apart from these fields, we can also add custom fields by using the existing WordPress actions. Use the following steps to understand the process of adding custom profile fields:

1. We start by adding the following actions:
