How to do it...

Take the following steps to manually reset the password of any user:

1. Log in to phpMyAdmin using the database login credentials. The username and password for the database are configured in the DB_USER and DB_PASSWORD constants of the wp-config.php file.
2. Click the database name of your site. The database name is configured in the DB_NAME constant of the wp-config.php file.
3. Click the wp_users table to load the user details of your site.
4. Click the Edit button of the user needing a password reset.
5. Add the new password in plaintext format, and choose MD5 from the function column for the user_pass column, as shown in the following screenshot:

6. Click the Go button to save the new password.
