How to do it...

Take the following steps to identify and resolve script errors in WordPress:

1. Open the wp-config.php file in the code editor.

2. Add the following line of code after the WP_DEBUG constant defined in the Configuring error logs and displaying errors recipe:

define( 'SCRIPT_DEBUG', true );

3. Visit the URL, which contains JavaScript errors.
4. Open the browser console to see the error, as shown in the following screenshot. We can right-click and select the Inspect option for the browser console in the Chrome browser:

5. Click the file on the right-hand side of the console to see the file and code line causing this issue, as shown in ...
