I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Getting ready
Open the code editor and have access to the plugin files of your WordPress installation. Create a custom plugin for Chapter 6, Setting up a Blogging and Editorial Workflow code by using the instructions in the Working with custom PHP codes recipe in Chapter 3, Using Plugins and Widgets. We can name the plugin as WPCookbook Chapter 6, with a wpcookbookchapter6.php file. Once created, activate the plugin by using the backend Plugins list.
