WordPress minifies the core script and style files in order to improve performance. Also, themes and plugins may contain their own minified script files. It's very difficult to track script errors using minified versions of script files. Therefore, we need to use the original script file in order to identify errors.
WordPress provides a feature for debugging scripts by loading the original version instead of the minified version. Script debugging is disabled by default. First, we have to enable it by setting the SCRIPT_DEBUG constant to true. Once script debugging is enabled, WordPress will remove the .min part from the script file and load the original file.
