When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Using minification to improve loading time
Take the following steps to minify scripts and styles, using the W3 Total Cache plugin:
- Click the General Settings sub-menu under the Performance menu from the left-hand section.
- Go to the Minify settings section.
- Tick the Enable for Minify setting and keep the other settings to default values.
- Click the Save Settings & Purge Caches button.
- Visit any page on the frontend of the site.
- Right-click and select the View page source button to view the page source.
- Click any of the files that are loaded from the wp-content/cache/minify/ path.
Now, you will see the minified version of script and style files, instead of the original version.
