Usability Testing Tools
Usability testing (covered in more detail in Chapter 7, “Conversion Improvement Basics”) allows you to test your design ideas on representative users of your website. It can be an effective means of uncovering disconnects between users’ expectations and your designs and therefore potential issues with your website and landing pages.
In the past, to conduct usability testing you had to use usability testing companies to help you recruit appropriate subjects, conduct the tests, and deliver detailed findings. However, thanks to recent improvements to online technologies and products, you can now conduct usability testing using online tools. These tools are also generally more cost effective.
