diskscan [-W][-n][-y] raw-device
Use diskscan on IA systems to perform surface analysis on a portion of a hard disk. The disk portion can be a raw partition or slice identified by its raw device name. By default, the specified portion of the disk is read (nondestructive) and errors are reported on standard error. In addition, a progress report is printed on standard out. You should save the list of bad blocks in a file and later feed them into addbadsec(1M) to remap them.
