/bin/getdev [-ae][criteria...][device...]
Use the getdev command to generate a list of devices that match certain criteria. The criteria include a list of attributes (given in expressions) and a list of devices. If you specify no criteria, all devices are included in the list.
Devices must satisfy at least one of the criteria in the list unless you specify the -a option. Then, only those devices that match all of the criteria in a list are included.
Devices that are defined on the command line and that match the criteria are included in the generated list. However, if you use the -e option, the list becomes a set of devices to be excluded from the list.
