removef — Remove a File from Software Database

Synopsis

/usr/sbin/removef [[-M] -R root-path][-V fs-file] pkginst
						path...
/usr/sbin/removef [[-M] -R root-path][-V fs-file] -f pkginst
					

Description

Use the removef command as part of creating installation scripts to inform the system that you or the software intend to remove a path name. Output from removef is the list of input path names that can be safely removed because no other packages have a dependency on them.

Options

-fAfter all files have been processed, invoke removef -f to indicate that the removal phase is complete.
-MDo not use the $root-path/etc/vfstab file for determining the client's mount points. This option assumes the mount points are correct on the server, and it behaves consistently ...
