inetd — Internet Services Daemon
Synopsis
/usr/sbin/inetd [-d][-s][-t][-r count interval][configuration-file]
Description
The inetd daemon is the server process for the Internet standard services that manages other daemons. It is usually started up at system boot time by the /etc/rc2.d/S72inetsvc run control script. The configuration-file lists the services that inetd is to provide. If you specify no configuration-file on the command line, inetd reads its configuration information from the file /etc/inetd.conf. The following example shows the default inetd.conf file.
