pfinstall — Test Installation Profiles

/usr/sbin/install.d/pfinstall -D | -d disk-config [-c CDpath] profile
Description
If you are setting up custom JumpStart installations on a network, you need to create a profile server that creates a JumpStart directory for the custom JumpStart files. As part of preparing the JumpStart files, you create a profile text file that defines rules for how to install the Solaris software on a system.
After you create a profile, you can use the pfinstall command to test the profile and see if it does what you want before using it to install or upgrade a system. pfinstall enables you to test a profile in the following ways.
Test against a system's disk configuration where pfinstall is being run.
