Difficult and delicate conversations
Managers today look after increasingly diverse teams. Many managers find it very challenging to tackle tricky conversations such as those concerning inappropriate office relationships, interpersonal conflict, aspects of personal hygiene or appearance, challenges arising from racial or religious diversity, and issues related to alcohol, drugs or smoking, etc. However, you should be aware that an unwillingness to take on these sorts of conversations is likely to hold back your own career progression.
