When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Obtaining Management Commitment and Support
It is absolutely critical that management endorses and actively supports the OJT program. Any work group in your organization should be capable of developing and implementing the system, provided they have management support. There is no faster way to destroy employee morale than to fail to encourage employees truly to take charge of their own destiny. To do so demands a great deal of courage on the part of managers.
For the training program to succeed, all levels of management, from senior executives downward, must agree that there is a need for structured OJT and that a team-driven approach is the best way for the organization to proceed. Commitment means that management provides the time and resources ...
