I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Why I Wrote This Book
As a graduate student in psychology, I developed the team-driven structured OJT system called TeamOJT, originally named Task Analytic Training System (TATS), which has its foundation in adult learning theory, and cognitive and social psychology. Training on the Job is the culmination of my efforts to develop and continuously improve this model and it represents the best practices of many organizations.
I wrote the book because hundreds of clients and workshop participants have responded so enthusiastically to team-driven OJT and have expressed an interest in a book on the system. This book was written to share the experiences and successes of a variety of companies in developing such structured programs.
