When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
What Does the Design Team Facilitator Do During the Writing Phase?
The facilitator is in charge of all design team sessions. He or she is responsible not only for teaching the team how to conduct the team job task analysis but also for teaching the team how to write training modules and cover sheets.
During the writing phase, the facilitator works on building team cooperation, directing discussion, and keeping the team focused on the task at hand. When there is more than one way to write a training module or accomplish a step, the facilitator encourages the team to select the best way for a trainee to do the task. This helps focus attention on the trainee, not on the design team members and their own preferences.
