So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
How to Select a Job Task for Analysis
Selecting the job task generally takes very little time. Because their members know the job so well, design teams usually agree on a job task right away. Just prior to asking the team to select a job task, review action verbs with the team and explain that the job task as well as the smaller tasks need to be stated in terms of action verbs plus objects.
Ask the team to select a typical job task that they perform and need to train others to perform. Virtually any job task in an organization is suitable for task breakdown, whether the employees are in professional, skilled technical, semiskilled, managerial, supervisory, or other positions.
