Because people revert to old habits, new habits and new ways of interacting with others must be taught and reinforced until they occur spontaneously. A word of caution is crucial here: Complacency will kill a project after implementation. OJT is no exception. Trainees, trainers, experienced workers, and the OJT program as a whole need continuous assessment. One great advantage of an employee-owned program is that employees continually will monitor and evaluate the program and identify new training needs as they occur.
