Most training modules for OJT are skill modules and fit very nicely into the two-column format presented in this chapter. Knowledge modules also work very well in two columns, although some information may need to be presented in a structured text style like that shown in Figure 6.4. Illustrated there is part of a knowledge module written to provide an overview of patient lifters for medical personnel. Column 1 specifies the “what” and column 2 presents explanatory information. (Because the items in the example are not sequential, numbering is not necessary.)
