Windows 8, itself, doesn’t print documents, primarily because Windows 8 can’t even open documents. You use programs, not Windows, to print documents. Typically, you open the document first by clicking or double-clicking its icon. Then, you print the document from the program that opens.
This chapter looks at different ways to print documents. As everyone knows, printer ink, toner, and paper are expensive. For that reason, we’ll be sure to present some techniques to help you get the most for your printing buck.
