9.2. Delete Your Browsing History to Ensure Privacy

To ensure that other people who have access to your computer cannot view information from sites you have visited, you can delete your browsing history.

As you visit Web sites, Internet Explorer maintains information about the sites you visit. Internet Explorer also maintains a folder called Temporary Internet Files which stores copies of page text, images, and other content so that sites load faster the next time you view them. Similarly, Internet Explorer also saves text and passwords that you have typed into forms. Internet Explorer also maintains cookies, which are small text files that store information such as site preferences and site log-on data.
